give me surgery

I am still waiting on Salford PCT to come back to me with a decision on my second opinion and surgery funding, they have had the letter from Leeds for over two month and still no word. The longer I wait the more frustrated I get with Leeds saying that I could of have had surgery by April/May and I'm annoyed that i let myself believe it could happen by then. The more I lose weight and get fit the more my chest doesn't belong to me.

Now onto something different, well kinda. Trans people have been in the media a lot recently and so has the word 'tranny'. When I was younger and with friends I'd use the word tranny cos like i said i was young and stupid, i don't use it anymore cos I've learnt the proper meaning of the word and I now urge others not to use it. Reason why? It's a disgusting word and it encourages non trans people to use it in a negative way. People who use this word are more often comedians wanting to make a cheap gag at a minority group, most recently though Paddy Power in their disgusting attempt for a laugh. Another group of people who use the word is some drag queens and kings, now first off if you are a drag artist you are suppose to an exaggeration of a female/male, you are NOT suppose to look what society sees as a trans woman. I use trans women as an example as it's usually female side of the trans community that gets the stick. I am sick of drag kings/queen being put in the same category as trans people who have to go through daily abuse due to actually transitioning and having to prove to medical professionals that we aren't going insane to get the hormones and surgery we want. Now I'm not saying I hate drag queens/kings, I love the cheekiness of them and I celebrate that I live in a community where men and women can do as they please but don't put me in the same category as them.

Anyway I'm going now. x
