Ok so in April I realised that it's been four years since i came out as trans. The reason i know is cos i found some old posts on a message board i was on. It's kind of cringe worthy when i read them cos i can't really see it as me. What i mean by that is when i wrote them i was pretending to be all macho and a 'real man' where as now i'm just fine being me whatever that may be.
I had my fourth appointment at leeds today, it went really well. Basically whats going to happen is this; i have to go see Gary on the 18th May to show all my change of name stuff, after that i might need to get a second opinion from either sheffield or leicester, i'll be sent for by the hormone lady at leeds then referrals for surgery and stuff will start. He said if all goes well then i'll have had surgery by this time next year which is what i thought. I told him i was thinking of moving to Manchester and he said ok i haven't heard that, what he meant was that it'd mess up my treatment if i moved and pissed around with PCTs so i'm still gonna be under my parents address even though i'll be moving.
I'm really imprerssed with Leeds as a GIC, they seem to doing things really quickly. I don't know if thats cos i was first referred to them back in 2008 and cos i'm alrerady so cfar with my name changing and T.
I hope i will be writing this time next year and i'll of had surgery!
