new blog

i started a new blog because i read my old one and i sounded a bit mental. i'm not going to post every day/week cos i know i won't keep up with it,so it'll just be a when stuff happends blog.

so, in 2008 i went to my doctor who has known me all my life so thought it would be easier to explain, i was wrong when i told him i wanted to transition he looked at me like i'd asked to tickle his balls so i had to say it again in simple terms i.e i want a sex change. he clearly thought i was having problems with my sex life which is obviously not what i said, he said he would refer me to a counsellor. he obviously didn't refer me as i had to go back a second time and tell him to refer me again. he did this time, i recieved a letter from the jarman centre in blackburn but my appointment would be in burnley but i'd have to wait 10 month for an appointment which i wasn't having so i went to see another doctor rather than the old fart i saw before, he was really cool about it and saifd he'd write and get them to see me sooner rather than later.

i went to my appointment and the lady was really nice and friendly. she told me what i needed to do and what my gp needed to do. she wrote to him and said send jake here,apply for funding which he did but the pct said they need a psych assessment which i knew about. it took a few month for my appointment at the mental health place and when i got there i wasn't seen by the proper doctor but by some woman who wasn't even qualified to do my assessment so i was a bit pissed off but just got on with it. i made another appointment to seee the actual doctor but that was a cock up again as i hadn't been booked in for long enough so had to make another appointment. i was so angry i rang my counsellor and made an appointment to see her the day before my next psych appointment, she got angry when i told her so she rang up and complained. i went to the appointment and it went ok i suppose, he asked me stuff about my sex life and to this day i'm still confused as to why cos why does it matter who i have sex with? anyway it was all over and done with.

i have changed my name by deed poll. i recieved my new bank card even though it was as ball ache trying to get it done cos they tried to fob me off with their bank policy bullshit about how they need a doctors letter to change my name so i have complained.

made a few new friends at morf in manchester so i guess all isn't bad.
